Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

There is no notice window and no refund table on this page. That is deliberate, and this explains why — plus exactly what to do when plans move.

No fixed notice period Handled in conversation

The short version

  • Message us on WhatsApp or call as soon as you know. That is the whole procedure.
  • There is no fixed notice period and no refund percentage. We deal with each case in conversation.
  • No advance payment is taken online, so in the ordinary case there is nothing held by us to refund.
  • Rescheduling is usually easier than cancelling, for you and for us. Ask about it first.
  • Telling us is the part that matters. A slot nobody cancels is a slot nobody else could book.

Why there is no fixed rule

Most venues publish something like "48 hours' notice for a 50% refund". It looks reassuring and it is easy to enforce, but it means treating two completely different situations identically.

A five-a-side group that loses two players on a quiet Tuesday afternoon is a slot we can almost certainly fill or simply release. A twelve-team bracket that pulls out the night before a weekend is several grounds held across peak hours that nobody else can now use. One notice period cannot handle both fairly — it either punishes the first or lets the second walk away from a real cost.

So we do not have one. What we have instead is a conversation, and a strong preference for hearing from you early. In practice this is more generous than a written rule for almost every booking, and that is the intention.

How to cancel or reschedule

Message +91 92588 67057 on WhatsApp, or call the same number. Include three things: the date, the start time and the sport. That is enough for us to find the booking without a reference number, because there are no reference numbers — slots are held by name and phone.

Someone is at the ground at every hour, so there is no window during which a cancellation cannot be dealt with. A message at 3 AM about a 7 AM slot will be read at 3 AM.

What happens to the money

Bookings here are settled at the ground, in cash or by UPI, when you arrive. There is no online payment step and no card is taken in advance. The practical effect is that cancelling an ordinary slot costs you nothing: you simply do not pay for a ground you did not use, and there is no balance sitting with us to be refunded, withheld or argued over.

Larger multi-day and tournament bookings are agreed individually, and if anything different applies to yours it will be said clearly when the booking is made — never applied afterwards. If it was not discussed at the time, it does not apply.

Rescheduling instead

Ask about this before cancelling. Send the original slot and the one you would prefer, and we will tell you whether it is free. It is almost always the better outcome — you keep your game, and the ground stays booked rather than going empty at short notice.

Regular weekly fixtures can be moved for a single week without disturbing the standing arrangement. Just say which week you mean.

Not turning up

The one thing we genuinely ask is that you tell us rather than silently not arriving. A ground held for a group that never comes is an hour nobody else could book and nobody played on, and unlike a cancelled slot there is no chance to offer it to anyone else.

A one-line message costs you nothing and keeps the slot available to someone. Repeated no-shows on standing bookings are the only situation in which we would have a conversation about whether to keep holding a regular hour.

Weather

The outdoor grounds are artificial turf, which drains, so rain far less often means abandoning a slot here than it would on grass or clay. Monsoon evenings are usually playable.

When conditions do make play unreasonable, you have three options and they are all yours to pick: move indoors to the badminton courts if they are free, reschedule to another slot, or release the booking. Message us before you set out and we will tell you honestly what the ground is like at that moment rather than letting you travel and find out.

Tournaments and multi-day bookings

These hold more grounds for more hours, often across peak evenings, so early notice matters far more than it does for a single slot — not because a rule says so, but because there is more to re-fill and less time in which to do it.

If a bracket shrinks rather than collapses, tell us the new shape instead of cancelling the whole thing. Releasing two of six grounds is straightforward; finding out on the day that only half the teams arrived is not.

If we have to cancel on you

It is rare, and it would be for something physical — damage to a surface, a lighting failure on one ground, or a safety problem. If it happens we will tell you as soon as we know, offer another ground on the site if one suits you, offer another slot if it does not, and you will not pay for a booking you could not use. We will not simply let you arrive and find the ground unavailable.

FAQ

Cancellation questions

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp or call as early as you reasonably can and we will either move you to another slot or release the one you had. We handle it in conversation rather than by a fixed rule, so tell us what happened and we will sort it out.

There is no fixed notice period. We would obviously rather know on Tuesday than at the hour of a Thursday slot, because an unclaimed ground is one nobody else could book — but there is no cut-off after which cancelling is refused.

No advance payment is taken online, so in the ordinary case there is nothing held by us to refund or withhold — you simply do not pay for a slot you did not use. Larger multi-day or tournament bookings are agreed individually, and anything different would be said clearly at the time of booking, not applied afterwards.

Send the original date, time and sport, and the slot you would prefer instead. Rescheduling is the same conversation as cancelling and is usually easier for both sides, since the ground stays booked and you keep your game.

The outdoor grounds are artificial turf and drain, so rain rarely means abandoning a slot outright. If conditions do make play unreasonable we will move you to the indoor badminton courts if you want them, or reschedule, or release the slot. Message us and we will tell you honestly what the ground is like at that moment.
